Vintage   Team Associated Rc12LW RC12 Worlds Edition1/12 Scale Rc Model Car with Original Box, Futaba Micro Servo, and Futaba Receiver(mounted on top of Steering Servo!). Team Associated OEM Vintage Body, Corvette GTP, Goodwrench is in great shape and original, on box suggestion. Rare Team Associated, #4406,  RC12LW with the better graphite chassis, Ball Bearings, and Alloy Bulkhead/Motor Mount.  Carpet / On-Road  / Drift  / Oval, Rc Model Car Racing. ....Literally will do 2, 360 degree turns, at the finish line! This is a fine example of the iconic, Team Associated Rc12LW. This Ebay only auction, comes with a New, Old Stock, unpainted, Rc-Body: Corvette GTP Era International Touring Racing, suggested on Box Photo from Team Associated. Comes with a Trinity Green Machine Motor (and it's been mounted on this car for years, in dry storage. I am also selling a seperate Green Machine 2 on Ebay). A standard Futaba Receiver for old-feel, AM Rc Model Racing, with matching Futaba Micro Steering Servo. Comes with a few upgrades: Oil Loaded Shock (an obvious former Rc racer), an aftermarket bumper, the steering links are RPM (not factory), and this RC12LW has nicer body mounts, to display the clear stock GTP body (mostly unpainted). Auction comes with, the OEM Original Box (in pics), which is in pretty good shape for being, in storage over 20 years. Condition is "Used", As-Is, and No Returns.
The difference between the RC12L and The World Edition, RC12LW, is a graphite chassis (compared to the fiberglass chassis).

The Skinny:
The original design of the RC12L came from Gil Losi Jr. Gil built the first prototype cars and proved their racing ability. With Gil's participation, Associated further developed the car. The new RC12LW was basically named by our Team that raced the car at the IFMAR World Championships in Singapore. The racers called it the WORLD'S car, hence the official designation RC12LW or World's car for short. [The "L" stands for Losi.]
Introduced by Team Associated in 1991, the RC12LW (Worlds) Chassis, (not the fiberglass version, RC12L) was based on the car that Chris Doseck drove to win the 1990 IFMAR World Championships. Two RC12LW kit versions were available: A Basic RC12LW Fiberglass version - # 4405 and a Basic RC12LW Graphite kit - # 4406. Again, this is the better model of the world edition (graphite chassis).  The Associated team went on to again win the 1992 IFMAR World Championships with the RC12LW Graphite Version, driven by Tony Neisinger.
Based on the successful RC12L, the 2WD RC12LW pan car chassis, came with a ball differential, coil spring over oil filled damper(the really good shock!), adjustable friction plate and two tunable T-bars came with the kit for differing track surfaces.
